At the start of 2025, one of California’s most significant natural disasters struck. During the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles, our expert team offered onsite conservation, treatment recommendations, site visits, and managed multiple collection relocations for clients. Following Earth Month in April and the arrival of spring, we’re providing links to advocacy and fire-related resources, including the American Institute for Conservation's advocacy toolkit and AIC's emergency response resources. We are committed to the ongoing support of those in need and to the development of emergency response methods that prepare us for future challenges. Following the natural disaster, shifts in the American political landscape led to devastating cuts in funding for cultural heritage institutions, impacting their staffing, programming, collections, and conservation efforts. It has become increasingly important to make an effort to support colleagues and museums to message that preservation is not optional - it’s essential! Every project receives our expert attention, and I hope you’ll enjoy some examples of the innovative, challenging, and interesting work our studio has accomplished in recent months.
