Paper Conservator

We are pleased to welcome Bethany Procopio, Paper Conservator, to Preservation Arts.

Bethany Procopio holds a graduate degree specializing in works on paper from Northumbria University, as well as an undergraduate degree from the Hochschule der Künste of the Berner Fachhochschule in Switzerland. While completing her conservation studies, she interned at Atelier Rothe and the Swiss National Archive focusing on paintings and paper conservation. Before joining the Preservation Arts team in 2023, Beth worked at the Scottish Conservation Studio and Artworks Conservation. Her specialities include historical European works on paper, consolidation of friable media, and retouching. Beth is excited to take on new projects at Preservation Arts, including contemporary works in a diverse range of media.

The Preservation Arts paper department handles the treatment of works on paper including prints, drawings, paintings on paper, Asian prints, mixed media artworks, documents and scrapbooks. We also offer services in archival framing, including rehinging and replacement of non-archival materials such as acidic mats, hinges, and glazing.
