What is the process for working with you?
Contact us by phone or email.
When you email, include photos of the artwork and areas of damage.
Schdule an appointment for a consultation in our Oakland, CA studio to have your piece examined.
Our conservators will examine your artwork while you wait and provide you with a detailed treatment options.
We’ll follow up with an estimate of cost of treatment.
If you want to proceed with conservation we will collect a 50% deposit and a signed contract of work in order to begin treatment.
When treatment is complete, the conservator will send you a treatment report and schedule an appointment for you pick up your piece.
Final balance will be due to receive your artwork. If you cannot transport your artwork, our team can arrange to examine the artwork on site and transport it if necessary.
There is no charge to have your artwork examined in our studio.
We can also examine artwork at client’s location for a travel time & expenses.
How much does conservation cost? Can you give a quote over the phone?
In order to provide an accurate estimate, our conservators need to examine the artwork in person and cannot give quotes by email or phone. There is no charge to examine your artwork and provide you with an estimate and treatment proposal when you bring your piece in to our studio. Conservation treatments can vary in difficulty and therefore the estimates can vary as well. The cost for conservation is based on an hourly rate and there is typically a 3 hour minimum. Conservators will examine your artwork and provide treatment options and pricing information.
